I have feelings for the dining table, many people may think it is an ordinary table, but whenever I think back to my childhood, the first thing that catches my eye is the dining table with my relatives. Maybe the weather is different, the people sitting are other, and the food is a different type, but that dining table has always lingered in my mind. Many things happened at this table that left a deep impression on me in those days. The first time I dropped the chopsticks and wanted to pick them up, I was reprimanded for not washing my hands, and the first time I ate delicious food made by my mother. It is no exaggeration to say that I can even smell the woody fragrance of the heavy table board through my memories, so in my mind, the element of the table is an integral part of the whole food culture.
The inspiration for this table is the Fibonacci sequence. I want the audience to feel the beauty of nature and let their attention move with the fluctuations of the table surface. At the same time, the rhythm of the whole table echoes with the bowl on the surface, making it feel like they are in Swing constantly.
The dining table is so essential now it is more just a tool for people, in the future, I believe that the dining table will become increasingly critical, especially in this fast-food culture. In our society, a table with an exciting shape can attract people to stop for slow food rather than fast food on the road because the whole table is fixed with a waffle structure. When the audience looks down at this work, they will find that it is full of square grids, but from the side, it looks like rolling waves, which is also the origin of the name of this work: dancing grid. The idea is to emphasize the importance of the dining table and eating well.
